FRAGMENTS OF REFLECTION

"Fragments of Reflection" is my visual interpretation of memories and experiences, deeply connected to my time in Manises, Spain. At its core, two little girls are engrossed in the universal act of stacking building blocks. One is depicted clearly, while the other, more muted, embodies the elusive nature of some memories.

Positioned in the top left corner, a bowl drips orange streams down the canvas. This serves as a vivid reminder of the unpredictable flow of memories — sometimes intense, at other times faint, but always leaving a lasting impact.

First showcased during the Fiesta de Cerámica, the canvas underwent a thoughtful evolution. It was reinvented — liberated from its frame, draped against a refreshed backdrop, and painted in a vibrant spectrum of colors. The shattered fragments of a treasured blue glass water bottle from Manises embed themselves in the canvas. This once intact vessel, now in fragmented form, captures the essence of moments frozen in time, yet fragmented by the passage of days.

This artwork serves as a testament to the beauty of the unexpected. It mirrors the essence of memories that, like fragments, slip through the fingers yet remain etched in our minds. Through the lens of two girls and the bowl's ever-flowing streams, "Fragments of Reflection" encapsulates the essence of fleeting moments and the stories they tell. It urges us to ponder the fragile balance between remembering and letting go, and to discover the profound narratives that live within the fragments of our reflections.
